A Block Party back in October

On Oct 03, this year we went to our first block party... ever!

All the people who live on our block cook something, put on a makeshift buffet and we all have a meet and greet.

It was fun meeting some of our neighbors we never see. Living on the Hill is quite interesting.

-Don't Stop Believin

This came on about a month ago. This guy was a poor kid on the streets of Manila who was heard singing on YouTube by Journey guitarist Neal Schon.

The rest is history.

I'm no Oprah fan; however, this clip is pretty cool.

No matter how you slice it... that guy sounds as good as Steve Perry on this song. Probably pound for pound Steve still wins.

Laughing at Mommy

Jack sure loves his Mama and that is why he laughs like this.

Jack gets so tickled when he is on my shoulders.

November and here recently...

Hanging out with Dad on Halloween.

Last winter, I would've had to glue hats on Jack for them to stay on. Now, he finds them and brings them to me to help him put them on and wears them all over the house. So funny. Thankfully, this winter I will put far less effort into keeping that little head warm :)

This little guy is the sweetest in the morning. He's having his smoothie here and loving it.

Nice hairdo. Thanks, Dad!

Jack, will you read to me please?

Hall and Oates the Up and Close Tour

I had the pleasure of seeing Hall and Oates up close and personal at the D.C. 9:30 club last Wednesday night.

Oates no longer has the signature mustache.

Can you say "great view" ?

We were so close to the stage and the band played all the greatest hits.

Left to Right- Nathan, TaNeesha, Wensa, Michael and Me.

It was a blast! They were a well behaved group (no cursing from the stage).

Here are a couple more clips

God Exposed: Awkward Preaching In A Comfortable Age

We loaded up the church van and headed down to Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary to go to the God Exposed Conf. (Southeastern and 9Marks are collaborating to do one mark of the nine each year for nine years.)

Here we are in the van with our fearless leader.

Gus and I were pretty much beside ourselves.

It was so nice to see one of my favorite places again.
Looking for a great seminary?
Mark spoke at NC State Univ on "Is becoming a Christian committing intellectual suicide?"

We handed out 9Marks materials to the college students.

I saw some old buddies (left to right- Pri, Ben, Me, Tyler, and Mark).

I love this guy.
Games in the van all the way back to D.C.

We had a great time. Thank you CHBC and 9Marks.
